To be fair McEwen is considered a top Brit writer & Ben has done one of his films before. Atonement! What IS disturbing is his ongoing focus on unhealthy sexual relationships between adults & children and children, themselves. As for all boys schools like Harrow there have always been stories of upper class boys taking lower class ones for slaves, sexual or otherwise. All of this has nothing to do with Homosexuality but everything to do with control, just like a men’s prison & catholic church.
