Re “How to Stop Time”: I think Ben’s just taking the big-studio stuff because it pays for the indie Sunny March projects he wants to work on to build the company. SM doesn’t have a regular director/producer with contacts on board like Bad Robot has JJ Abrams. IDK about Adam, but B’s prob. not a good pitchman (esp w/that foot-in-mouth tendency) so his best pitch, once the property has been secured, is acting in it. It’s an interesting business plan, if that’s it.

I think it needs to be said that SM is AA’s baby first and foremost, BC really shouldn’t put all his eggs in that basket. AA isn’t a very good pitchman either and I am not convinced that he is better as a business partner than he is as a friend. What I am getting at is that as BC’s appeal wanes (his fault) AA will undoubtedly start looking elsewhere…
