I’m the “feminist” anon. I was responding to that random who accused critics of Cumberbatch’s wife of misogyny. Anyone going after her hard may have issues but that doesn’t automatically make them a misogynist. And like you said – no one was even bringing her up. People have to stop dragging serious topics into their Stan battles. It’s annoying.
I disagree I think it is sexist and fucked up, dumb, stupid, petty, spiteful, illogical, unrealistic, unreasonable, unfair..shall I go on?
It plays right back into that old world mentality that whenever great man stumbles some women is held accountable for his failures or mistakes.
Fangirls are trying to hold Sophie Hunter accountable for her husbands career even though they have only been married five mins. I don’t even care of her and I think this shit is ridiculous and petty. She is not his manager, his director, his agent, his PR rep, his stylist or any of that shit, yet some people want to blame her for everything they think he has done wrong. It’s like BC is their precious little boy that can do no wrong and if something does go wrong it’s his evil wife’s fault. Funny how if anything bad happens, they say it’s because of Sophie and if anything good happens it’s in spite of Sophie.

P.S. I find it annoying you’re pretending to be feminist. It’s obvious you just want to try and discredit any comment you think is even marginally in support of Sophie Hunter.
BC fucked up big time and he is responsible for a great part of this mess. That said, don’t give people like SH a free pass. Just don’t. She’s an HCP, I suggest you read up on what Dr. Palmatier has to say about individuals like her. They can be far more insidious and destructive than a lot of people realize. Just pray that you never get involved with one…
