A clone is a genetic copy of another organism. Cloning can occur naturally such as with identical twins.
In December of 2002 there was a report that 7lb baby was born and was the clone of an American woman. The baby was born outside of the U.S. Brigitte Boisselier, a chemist and CEO of Clonaid made the announcement. She did not offer any proof. The founder of Clonaid founded the Raelian religious sect and life on Earth was started by extraterrestrials.
Look for those type of articles to test the waters to see if the world is ready to accept there are clones.
Due to the arguments against human cloning the government will clone under the black budget for the scientific research and military research of cloning. The cloning will be studied under black projects.
Advanced Cell Technology, then called Ocata Therapeutics, and was sold to Astellas Pharma Inc. is involved in cloning.
High-Risk High-Reward Research Program (HRHR) is also involved in cloning.
The Human Genome Project is at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and they are attempting cloning.
I haven’t looked into human cloning in a couple of years, so I don’t have any recent information on the progress, if any, has been made.
