“Instead of wasting money on that good-for-nothing Benedict…” uh pretty sure aeltri meant the phrase ‘good-for-nothing’ referring to Sophie, not Benedict. Meaning Benedict is wasting money trying to make fetch happen for her. It’s not going to happen because she’s a talentless parasite with the appeal of warm potato salad. Technically aeltri should have put a comma to designate the prepositional phrase, but most English speakers should have been able to grasp her meaning though context clues.
