Take a step back. Breathe. We are being manipulated.
Pause and reflect:

January: Impeachment = Political divide
February: War with Iran = Moral divide
March-May: Coronavirus = Physical divide
June: Nationwide riots = Racial divide

There hasn’t been mass media hysteria like this in recorded history. We have not had a break from misinformation, fear mongering, or “doomsday scenarios” since the turn of the decade. Hostile forces are trying to divide and cripple us, and they know we can only be destroyed from the inside out.

Oppressors of all the American people have hijacked a movement that stands for equality & justice. The media pulls out of context clips & sound bites from these forces to further this agenda, telling us what to think and how to feel. As a result, emotionally charged, mentally exhausted, & rightfully confused Americans are turning on each other. There is no longer rational discussion or critical thinking; if there is a disagreement, one American is labeled ‘racist’, the other is labeled ‘thug’. The threads of our unity continues to fray while their house of cards grows taller.

We are being manipulated to believe that the labels the media has slapped on us equates to our identity & provides justification for outrage when someone challenges our beliefs. In reality, these labels are just weapons used to further SEPARATE us. A looter is not a protestor. A riot is not a protest. Not all Americans are racist, not all Americans are thugs. Everyone agrees George needs justice, everyone agrees we need to fix the broken system. We all are fighting for the same thing; a better America. One of freedom, safety, justice, & equality.

This cycle of violence, injustice, and prejudice will only end once we put down our emotional shields, recognize our fellow American as an ally, and unite against our common enemies – the system and the media. This is already happening across the nation, more than the violence – but the news won’t tell you that. It isn’t trending on Twitter. It isn’t viral on TikTok. Why? Because showing us our unity would lead to the realization that we don’t need them. We don’t need leaders that steal from us, technology that tracks us, or news that divides us.

Stop listening to your TV and start listening to your neighbor. You’ll begin to see that everyone is questioning everything. We are bearing witness to a worldwide revolution of peace & equality that will be written in history, and we are the authors. Write from the heart and the goodness you seek will follow.
