When Archie was born Harry and Meghan insisted they wouldn’t show the baby right away because they wanted privacy. However only two days later they ask the press to go and turn the introduction of the baby to the world into a huge event. They ask for privacy every time but one minute later they make something to get even more attention. They could have skipped the drama showing the baby for a minute like Kate and be done with it. All that secrecy to control everything only make them look worse.
Everything is “privacy” related or a “secret” with these two.
Meghan thought by controlling the birth and introduction of Archie would make it more newsworthy. I think she expected people to be chomping at the bit and by holding off she was creating an sense of anticipation, instead she managed to tick off the royal reporters and it made her looks super bad.
I do think though she didn’t want the Lindo Wing appearance because she would have been compared to Kate who just a year prior gave birth to Louis and hours later walked out in heels, hair blown out, and flawless makeup. Meghan knew there would be comparisons and she wasn’t going to come out the winner so she decided to do her appearance on her own schedule.
Plus…the secrecy has created suspicion regarding the actual birth date of Archie which may have factored into her being super controlling about releasing anything regarding his birth.
Privacy is not their friend. If they were transparent I think that people would actually like them a lot more. But usually when people are hiding something the tend to use privacy as an excuse so they can continue lie to the public.
