Honestly it was so heartbreaking to see how Jaime sees himself, and how Brienne’s words couldn’t change how much he hated himself. How familiar is that – when you can’t change a fundamental belief about your own self-worth, it doesn’t matter if anyone tells you to your face that you are (insert positive adjective here). You can’t let yourself be happy and feel loved because you feel you don’t deserve it, that you haven’t earned it.
