I am more than that. I am a proud female. That alone is proof enough. I do not need a label.
Do I believe in equality? Sure. Everybody with an understanding of that word and of the world believes in it.
Just because I don’t spout bullshit and whatnots about feminism on International Women’s Day or on any given day celebrating “feminism” doesn’t mean I am against it and not empowering women.
Feminist warriors who reach too much on social media and twist words just to fit in a certain narrative, excuse me! But in my opinion, those who think that “performing” and “voicing out” their feminism on social media is a grand act of empowering women are not genuinely advocating women’s rights like they think and claim to be.
I admire women who know what they want, stand for what they believe in, and make the best out of their lives. I side-eye women who impose on other women and are only virtue-signaling for the sake of being taken seriously.
So if being a feminist is to be an empty barrel, then, no, thank you. Count me out.
She makes a great point, in fact I call many of those ‘girl power’ female celebs Fakeminists…
