Lately I noticed that more and more fans find Hiddleston quite attractive. He sems to be the new internet boyfriend and seems to step in BC’s footsteps. TH ended his showmance at an early and safe enough time. BC keeps going on with it into an unknown future with no end in sight.
Regarding their popularity sometimes the comparison with Springsteen and Bon Jovi comes to my mind. BC used to be very popular and TH followed closely behind as second. Is that still so? Is Hiddleston overtaking BC on the fast lane? What do you think, readers of my blog?

I think Tom has taken over the lead. It is from different things Tom has done. The roles he has selected fans are excited to go see. Tom got into a relationship to get more recognized but also got out at the perfect time. The press around him for a little time was negative but people also knew who he was. Tom is warmer with his fans. Ben is the better actor but that is it that puts him first over Tom at the moment. Ben looks to be struggling with meeting fans, being out in the public and isnt happy where he is right now. There is too much negative news around Ben. Ben doesnt have inner peace right now and it shows.
That is why Ben C now flees into his work to forget about the things in his supposed life for a while. In my opinion he avoids meeting fans, because he thinks they might ask questions he can’t answer. This distancing “don’t look at me, don’t talk to me, don’t touch me” behaviour also lessens his popularity and makes Ben C seem arrogant and above them all as if the fans are mere peasants.
It all boils down to the fact that BC’s living a soul-destroying lie. It’s made him so paranoid that it has even become a problem on the Marvel Studio set. It’s unacceptable from a professional standpoint and if he didn’t know that before he does now! TH has no such issues because he had the foresight that BC did not, if anything he’s become more humble…
