re: the Chateau Marmont. It’s one of those LA landmarks that goes in and out of favor. As you say, extremely kitchy and unquestionably creepy, old Hollywood. I used to travel from NY to LA a lot and though i’ve visited and worked w prod co’s at the chateau, there’s no way i would stay there – especially being a woman traveling on business. No Way. Can’t say that about any other LA hotels.
