Being a big Marvel nerd, I gotta say there’s no way he got $12 million (US) for the first DS. They don’t pay much for the first installment of a new franchise (Boseman got $2-$3 million for BP1, Pratt and Rudd both got $1.5 million for their 1st flicks, etc.) I don’t know if the Mirror’s exact figures are right because it’s a rag, but I do expect he’s getting a bump like other Marvel actors have with profitable franchise sequels.

Nonny needs to re-read the post, I said 12 million was the figure first given for DS2 not DS and I’ll see if I can dig up the scan of the article. That amount is comparable to what Chris Evans has been getting paid IIRC…
