So, Black Mass keeps getting more interesting. At the tail end of BC’s involvement in the filming (in Boston), Letters Live, Ltd. gets founded by a venture capitalist in Massachussetts, who resigns on the same day the other Directors (folks from SunnyMarch and Canongate) are appointed. Then, in November, Canongate acquires Black Mass, pushes the film (and BC) in its press release, and announces a tie-in edition of the book to coincide with the film’s release. And skeptics get brought into this whole thing (via an anon ask on SOGO) on the same day Canongate publishes Black Mass.
I would really, really like to know who that anon was.
I would also love to know what Warner Bros. thinks of this whole thing.
PR, I don’t ask about any of this – I don’t research any of this – if I have info about fundraising. Please be transparent about the fundraising. Transparency is a change you should be scrambling to make.
