Ariel: Lion of God
The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. – Proverbs 28:1
Ariel is an archangel from the order of cherubim who is called a “great warrior in heaven” and “fearless in battle,” and who stands as a great and fierce guardian. As such Ariel is often invoked for guardianship against forces of the Other Side, the angels of archons and demons, and teaches the knowledge of how to bind and banish them. On account of the attribute of fearlessness, this archangel is also called “wise,” and is among the holy angels that have deep knowledge of the Wisdom of Ain through which insecurities and fears are overcome, and through which souls become invulnerable to the influence and power of the Other Side. Ariel appears as an angel with a face like that of a lion, with four wings, a great light within and enshrouded in an aura of blazing fire; most often this great and holy angel appears with a sword of flashing fire.
