Not that Ben is now above that, we all saw him selling another pregnancy during Dr Strange. What I really don’t want to see is another sub-par film made for Weinstein and sold as the Best Film Ever. Ben at the beginning didn’t know how to cope with the Hollywood mechanism and I really doubt he had ever met ppl like HW and Weirdo prior the Oscar Campaign. Maybe he knew about how in the Gotha of the Industry things worked but he never had to deal directly with that dimension.
Yes he could have avoided announcing a second fake preg but I am convinced that he and Disney took this chance in order to go for a not his (both of the pillows) and force Weirdo to stay out of the frame for a while …. and that has been the worst punishment for that kind of famewhore. Now I don’t know if they are assessing some other possible scenarios and moves…I feel confused (we all do in this Dark Corner).
I am just guessing that Ben is standing in a hybrid pair of shoes, I mean he’s wearing 2 kinds of hats: he’s an actor but he’s a manager too because is in charge of SunnyMarch and he needs all the best advisors he can recruit on the market rn, otherwise he runs the risk of drowning.
The only thing that B should do imho is to ask himself: where he wanna go and what he wanna build in the market as an actor and as a producer. What kind of audience does he wanna reach? What kind of investors does he wanna attract? What fans does he wanna keep and interact with?
As far as his RL, the only solution here is to get rid of Weirdo, wherever she might be now (in jail, skydiving or on vacation on the Blue Coast – hope not so because I have to go quite often in this month to the Italian side close to the French border -), following a very honest and transparent strategy or pretending that the marriage ended because of the usual reasons a marriage can end (among them “the kids aren’t mine”)
Wanda gave him and his PR a hint, she tried at least. Probably she was exhausted as a mother and as a woman. She said something like “Hope that the marriage would last as they have known each other only for few weeks before she got preg (read: before she decided to hide a pillow under her dress surprising the paps, Karon and his fiancé in front of the cameras).

You are right by the way: HW screwed him but he had a choice. I am not judging him. Now he’s thinking like a business man too, not only like a thespian. We’ll see which story he’ll be inclined to tell the gen public and the investors.
He’s perfectly aware that he can tell skeptics only the truth …or at least wink at us, he has been knowing for a long time that we can be a real pain in the ass since the beginning of the sham, not because we don’t like him but because of the very opposite reason. We like him and we admire him that’s why we don’t want to see such a talented person throw himself down the drain.
