This is an old ask from like weeks ago. Sorry, it took so long to answer. I had to dig up an old pic and I had no idea where it was.

Anywho, Lainey Lui is a self-proclaimed “gossip maven.” She runs a blog at www.laineygossip.com that I understand first became popular when Twilight was being filmed in Canada. Basically, Lainey dished gossip for the Twihards and that gave her her big break.

She is now a “special correspondent” for eTALK, Ben Mulroney’s entertainment news show. They are co-workers.

Ben is married to Jess Mulroney, who is Meghan Markel’s stylist and BFF.

And they are both close to Lainey.

And also why everyone instantly knew exactly who she was talking about, and also who had given her the blind.

Given that everyone knew and everyone knew they knew it was really curious that Meghan’s team (NOT the palace) chose to debunk the blind by citing a different blog (MediaTakeOut) and attributing the blind to a different gossip columnist (Janet Charlton) which allowed Meghan’s team to state:

I mean it’s technically true. MM has “never met” Janet Charlton and it’s very likely that she “has no idea who she is,” but that’s neither here or there because the blind is not from Janet Charlton and Meghan has very much met the gossip columnist who released the blind and knows perfectly well who she is.

And she lied in order to protect Lainey. Her friend. 

Her friend who she uses to spread malicious gossip about her boyfriend’s sister-in-law. The sister of the woman whose wedding Meghan is now gate-crashing. 

Someone in that round of anons also asked me what I think about MM’s character. Well, this post kills two birds with one stone.
