I called it…this was about as unscripted as BC’s pap photos were “unsolicited”. Still, it piqued public interest despite many agreeing that Benny Boy should stick to acting. Oh and PR? You might also want to prevent a certain malignant narcissist from ruining your entire DS promo run within the next 6-10 days. From what I’ve been hearing? She’s dead set on following through with her threats…
Signal boost! While this was an inspired PR move, scraping the barnacle known as Zero should still be a TOP priority. As in it should be done YESTERDAY.
We can agree on getting shot of Weirdo ASAP. She’s poison but I’m sorry an album cover from 1968 and a track from 1969 (written by Roger Waters, him being the comic book fan) is a connection too obscure even for Marvel surely. Are they that desperate? I know Flloyd nuts who didn’t even notice Strange on the cover of Saucer. They going to resurrect Marc Bolan next after all he referenced Strange in Mambo Sun.

And this was AFTER Happsie and I had a discussion on our blogs about Mambo Sun and it’s reference to DS.
Bowie tho? I put any reference to Bowie in Ben’s camp. Not so much that Dave got him to sing this song, it’s the one he always picks. But that the reference to Bowie specifically made the news articles. I was in the room at OzComicCon when Ben was asked who he’d love to play – and he harped on about Bowie. And he hasn’t fucking stopped with the Bowie T-Shirts and the references. He needs to stop.
And Marvel ARE playing this up – there are over 165 articles today, a fuckload of twitter spam, and quite a bit of it references that line of him feeling like a Rock Star because of Marvel and ComicBook fans. It’s being used for DS promo.
And there is a second narrative. We’re heading back into DownToEarthBatch and away from PoshyPretentiousBatch (if you ignore the rest of that interview with Toddles). Goes to concerts, one of the lads, out all night – it’s leaning away from BeigeBatch and FamilyManBatch. But … only leaning. Someone has to be removed fully from the picture before DismalBatch is gone for good.
I’m wondering if we can expect PF being involved in the soundtrack for DS somehow…
I feel a definite shift in his marketing, so we’ll see how consistent they will be with that, but first, I agree with everyone above, removing sh from the picture for good should be a priority.
I remember reading somewhere (think I saw a post on Twitter) that Michael Giacchino will be scoring the music for DS. Now, it’s possible that a PF song may be included in the movie, but not in the score album (I have all of the MCU movie soundtracks; soundtrack album collecting/listening is one of my favorite hobbies).
I also agree with everyone that 🐙 has got to go, and the sooner she’s written out of the picture, the better it will be for him.
Fellow soundtrack collector here. I think MG did write the score but TBH? James Newton Howard would have been a better choice. Like Bear McCreary he makes extensive use of non-western instruments and knows how to incorporate them into a symphonic score very well. Remember that over half of DS is supposed to be set in Asia. At any rate I hope MG delivers this time and yes, 🐙 needs to go stat. She’s too mentally and emotionally unstable to deal with.
