We do not know for sure that Ben asked Loo to direct birthday funds to her and VZ’s choice of charity. I read it as a personal choice between these two ladies, possibly with his blessing but not providing any proof of his desires. She didn’t say ‘he asked me to ask you’ or anything of the sort. It comes across as self serving under the boost of using his name/birthday which appeals to the fans who normally give, IMO.
