The one where it’s pretty damn obvious that a lot of Sophie Hunter’s CV
fluffing did NOT come solely from Sophie’s Wikipedia page (which was set up just prior to her
SGF reveal) as asserted by some to be by a “crazed fan called Senyorita”, but by
Sophie herself in various articles and bios that pre-date (by quite a considerable
margin) her coming onto the scene as BC’s showmance gal in May 2014.

Here we get the Oxford & Jacques Lecoq references.
And that “she was awarded the prestigious Oxford Samuel
Beckett Award for new voices in experimental theatre.” No mention of it being Boilerroom rather than
herself as the actual recipient.

Where did Alex get all these details about Sophie? She didn’t have a Wikipedia page then. It had to have been from Sophie herself
direct to Alex. And there’s a lot here:
“Actress turned singer”.
An implication that it’s “Sophie’s new album” and she did all the
work. “Sophie is Jane Birkin’s niece”, “and
cousin to Charlotte Gainsbourg”, “she has a degree in modern languages from
Oxford and has studied acting in Paris.”
An interview with Sophie, again claiming she graduated from
Oxford, that she’s 5ft 9in (in heels maybe), claiming she beat Audrey Tautou to
The Isis Project, and has her own theatre Company Lacuna. Very similar to:
Again with the Modern Languages at Oxford (still can’t find
her on any alumni list or proof that she even graduated), “setting up her own
theatre group, Lacuna”, “beat Audrey Tautou to a part in The Story of Isis”
(no, she was a replacement – Link and at
this link is the Jane Birkin niece thing again).
The rest of this article, given what she ended up doing to poor
Benedict – is laughable (and “Diva” is definitely the word to use).
And let’s not forget – she claimed being THE recipient of that award again,
herself (not “Senyorita”), recently:
“I have my own links to Beckett as the recipient of the
Oxford Samuel Beckett award that champions emerging experimental
theatre-makers.”
My my my. Will you look at that, Shitty. Direct quotes from SH which contain major CV-fluffing. Hmmm. Why was it so difficult to get the facts straight in her own article for the guardian about Oxford Samuel Beckett award. Making yourself look more grand than you are. Now tell me does this fit into the image of the demure, modest English rose image?
Also many of the articles that were published speedily right when the engagement ad became news contained many details about SH. Usually journalists use press info kit from publicists for such articles, so the exaggerations presented in those “An intro to SH” articles from back then cannot be thanks to the lies on Wikipedia. And if all of those praising articles really got published because her Wikipedia profile, then SH never bothered to get the record straight as well. How convenient. She still gets called Theatre and Opera director in newspapers these days without having ever directed a full opera. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
