I have been called in to shed a little bit of light on how Gambles used photoshop (incorrectly) to make Ben a happy daddy!
To start with, how did he make it look like Ben and baby are actually interacting? This is simple. There are three tools used to blend two objects into one picture. The blur tool, the burn tool, and the dodge tool. To get rid of the rough lines you get when moving something from one picture to another you have to blur the edges so it fades into the background. Then you have to make sure the lighting and shadows match. This is where the dodge and burn tools come in handy. To add highlights you paint with the dodge tool. To add shadow you do the same with the burn tool. These are the basics of photoshop.
Now on to the fun part! How did Gambles mess up? Lets start with the edges around the baby (and also around Ben). On close inspection you’ll find a slightly glowing “halo” around the baby. This is because when selecting the baby out of the picture it was originally in he didn’t know to select just inside the outer edge of the object he wants to move and he used too much blur tool trying to overcompensate. Then we have the shadows. As one anon pointed out, the lights and shadows don’t match on the two objects interacting. This is where the dodge and burn tools would have come in handy. He could either get rid of the light shining on the baby’s head or add light shining on Ben’s face and hat. But instead he decided to leave it probably because he decided no one would ever see the non-blurred photos and therefor no one would notice. Also, the folds on the shirt are a dead giveaway to anyone who knows anything about how fabrics move. While the highlights and shadows are done correctly, the shape of one specific “fold” is painful to look at. Because of the way jersey knit (the fabric all T-shirts are made out of) is made, when it folds it will only ever fold straight. It will never curve like it does in some of the pictures. And the folds would also change as the way the baby’s grip on the shirt changes. But they don’t. So from that it becomes obvious that those folds were just copied and pasted from one picture to the next. And another dead giveaway is the neckline of the shirt. If you were wearing a T-shirt and you wrapped a small amount of the fabric the way the baby is, the neckline of the shirt would move. But Ben’s doesn’t. Had Gambles spent more than 2 seconds figuring out how to work photoshop he would’ve known about the warp tool. This is a favorite amongst young women who like to photoshop their selfies because it can alter the shape of whatever you want, in this case the neckline of Ben’s shirt. But again, Gambles probably thought that no one would notice. But we did. And we went all Sherlock up in his b***h.
Now onto the promised Disney tea! I follow several Disney-centric blogs all of whom are currently talking about massive restructuring within the higher-ups in the company. Due to gross amounts of overspending and an inability to stay within a more than reasonable budget on any project within the parks many Disney execs are currently on the chopping block and Bog Iger’s hand-picked successor for CEO, Tom Stags, quit to avoid being fired. Now it’s common knowledge that the branch of Marvel that is making Doctor Strange is owned by Disney. And with so much chaos within the company it makes sense that any pr power they have would be focused on dealing with how the public is told about said chaos. So I can safely say that until things in the Burbank headquarters calms down, they aren’t going to worry about ending the “marriage” of one movie star to a narcissist. Which means we’re in this for the long haul. So keep popping your popcorn and pouring your drinks because this shitshow isn’t ending any time soon.

That makes sense regarding the Disney inaction. The only trouble is, that article could drop at any time.
Good post that. I do disagree with OP on one count though, reorg isn’t going to last quite that long and PR will be working on it’s scheduled programming in a few months time at most. The Article of Doom? Is coming before that, so unless they want to lose some of the millions they invested in DS they are going to have to allocate some resources to neutralize SoHam. No question about it, those two are already setting BC up to take the blame and I do mean all of it. After that Disney/Marvel only has 5-6 months to hard sell DS, so in all likelihood the ShamWow will be over by then.
