I have no idea. Since I don’t follow CE (nothing personal…I didn’t really follow Benedict before the Shamwow, either…at least, not enough to know when he might be getting an CBE), I have no idea if his was listed or not. Although I think that investitures were listed, just not the names. Perhaps someone can verify?
If BC wanted to fly under the radar with regards to the CBE? Why didn’t he tell his stylist and makeup artist to keep quiet? PR photos can be released after the fact. I’m sure they would have respected his wishes. If BC manned up and warned SH not to leak or else? She would have thought twice about doing it. The truth is that BC comes across as overeager and emotionally needy which is why some people take advantage of him. I love my friends and my immediate family but if they ask me to do something I can’t or don’t want to? I have no problem saying ‘No’.
