Of course. He was just unlucky that his assigned partner turned out to be totally evil. They usually go fine.
All of this ^^^
Yes, I always say, it could have worked with the right partner. SH evil? Not sure. A person lacking empathy and pushing her own agenda, picking the right time and the right victim? Most probably.
That’s not evil?
Sounds evil to me.
Especially if certain things are true, like trying to push him to adopt an actual innocent baby for the scam, that fits the definition pretty well for me.
Adoption would be impossible in this situation. It’s a long process, and even celebs have to go through it, like regular folk do.
Not to mention, what adoption agency would give a baby to celebrity who’s involved in a fake marriage to an out of work, drug addict who blackmailed him into this whole mess in the first place?
It’s true, even though rich people can get out of a lot of stuff. But it doesn’t even matter if it were feasible or not. The only point I was making is that her simply *wanting* to do that would be pretty darn evil.
So IF what we think is true (and SH publicly effed BC over for the reason of her wanting to stay in the picture for longer) I still wouldn’t like to use the word ‘evil’, because that for me in a way is giving her too much credit and it would take the whole thing into the world of mysticism too much that I don’t like . It it is way too grandiose a word anyway for someone so small. Also, labeling someone ‘evil’ to me doesn’t necessarily explain behaviour. I try to use psychologically descriptive words, that could be objective facts about one’s character and mindset. Using words like ‘opportunist’, ‘narcissist’, ‘cold’, ‘calculating’, ‘manipulating’ brings it more in the real world to me and that’s how I like it. 😉
SH is evil. In purely secular terms:
“To be truly evil, someone must have sought to do harm by planning to commit some morally wrong action with no prompting from others (whether this person successfully executes his or her plan is beside the point). The evil person must have tried to carry out this plan with the hope of “causing considerable harm to others,” Finally, “and most importantly,” if this evil person were willing to analyze his or her reasons for wanting to commit this morally wrong action, these reasons would either prove to be incoherent, or they would reveal that the evil person knew he or she was doing something wrong and regarded the harm caused as a good thing.“
In SH’s mind conning BC was a good thing because she reaped the benefits of it. Don’t even get me started on her purposely getting him hooked on drugs. If the shoe fits…
