I think people have to understand that most conventions like SDCC function as trade shows to some extent. It’s geared towards fans and pros alike. The vendors which include the artists/writers behind the comics and books we love have to earn a living. Without financial support they will not survive, this is especially true of independent publishers. The fandom needs to stop being so…dare I say it, narcissistic.
